**Note: If you would like to buy a copy of my books without the royalties going to these causes, go to the “shop” and order an autographed one from me that will come from my author copies batch. These come from the publisher directly and do not support the royalties**
All of my books have their royalties directed to racial justice funds (Emergent Grace), women-in-leadership funds (What I Remember of the Little I Understand), or, for my forthcoming book (The Nine Principles of Hope: On Making a Difference as a Christian), funds for persons with serious mobility issues and more racial justice work.
Below are the details for how you can support my philanthropy and get a tax benefit yourself.
If you want to support affirming Christianity in particular please donate to the following causes at the denomination I attend, the United Church of Christ, since the ones featured below are at schools that are very important to me and which I created for mentors who have touched my life deeply, but are not progressive on human sexuality:

1. Emergent Grace
Hi there, all royalties for Emergent Grace the book are automatically routed to two racial justice endowments at Christian colleges, in a 50/50 split. I didn’t want to profit off of a book that describes the injustice and the suffering of people of color.
**If you like the work that I am doing in the world in Emergent Grace, reach out to the advancement departments at these schools and make a donation**
- 50%: The Brent and Anne Peterson Endowment for Spanish-Language Library Materials at Northwest Nazarene University https://www.nnu.edu/office/university-advancement
- 50%: The Richard B. Steele Endowment for Future African American Ministers at Seattle Pacific Seminary (where they have a strong tradition of merging piety and justice, and the research of whose professors I mention throughout the book)

- Extra FYI: If you loved the book but the above causes don’t resonate, click below for a link to Rick Steele’s and his wife Marilyn Hair’s daughter Sarah’s obituary and, below the obituary, there is a link to the fundraiser donation page that the family established in Sarah’s honor. Sarah is the guardian angel I reference in my second book:

2. What I Remember of the Little I Understand
Hi there, all royalties for What I remember of the Little I Understand are automatically routed to two women-in-leadership endowments at Christian colleges, in a 50/50 split. It was empowering as I wrote the book to envision its proceeds empowering other women. The women named in these endowment funds are my two favorite female theologians.

- 50%: The Diane Leclerc Loving Scholarship for Female Nazarene Clergy at Northwest Nazarene University
https://www.nnu.edu/office/university-advancement
- 50%: The Wynkoop Center for Women in Leadership https://www.nts.edu/wynkoop/
Thank you for your generosity, and if none of these resonate, then find somewhere that does and give your communities a hand! Thanks again!
Erin 🙂
