Neurodivergent Life-Coaching Overview

The process of finding myself after experiencing psychosis began after finding a life-coach in a cafe who had overheard my story. We sat together several weeks later and she led me through a needs assessment and a values assessment, and helped me create a one year and five year vision. During the same time I had a therapist and a psychiatrist and was taking mental health medication. While these people were helpful, and while I credit many different things for my current success and thriving, I see this time with the life coach as the foundation of my progress over the past ten years.

Needs are something that must be met for us to be our best self, and everyone has unique needs. We began by selecting 10 needs out of a list of many, many needs, and then narrowed it down to four. We did the same with values. Then there was a worksheet for crafting a one year and five year vision, and she shared her own one year vision and five year vision with me. In this vulnerable setting we got to work on rebuilding my life after the ravages of a mental hospital–and we built me back better. I still take medicine, and I still have a therapist and a psychiatrist. I will never trust someone who tells me how to manage my meds. If you want to gain clarity into who you are and how God made you, reach out to me and we can go through these documents together. I can also sell them to you at a sliding scale for you to work through them on your own.
